Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality financial software applications that meet business requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Financial Systems Integration: Develop and integrate financial software modules with existing systems, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency. Work closely with stakeholders to understand financial workflows and optimize system performance.
• Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to industry best practices, coding standards, and security protocols. Conduct code reviews to ensure consistency and high-quality deliverables.
• Problem Solving and Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes through automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve accuracy, speed, and user experience in financial operations.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure all financial software solutions comply with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and local financial regulations. Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data and mitigate risks.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of financial applications to ensure high availability, reliability, and responsiveness. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively within a collaborative environment, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and participate in project planning and status updates.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and possess the following skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in financial technology (FinTech) are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Profound knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with financial software development, APIs, and database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) is essential.
• Financial Domain Knowledge: Understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks. Familiarity with financial instruments, trading systems, or risk management software is highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges is critical.
• Teamwork and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on financial applications or FinTech solutions. Experience in agile development methodologies is advantageous.
