Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Lead the consolidation of financial data across all business units to deliver timely and transparent reporting.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization. Provide actionable insights to senior management to support data-driven decision-making and long-term strategic planning.
• Internal Controls and Audit Support: Develop, implement, and monitor robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes and address any findings proactively.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial plans with operational goals. Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates and recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the finance department and other business units, including procurement, operations, and supply chain. Foster strong relationships to ensure seamless financial integration and alignment with corporate objectives.
• Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Encourage innovation and efficiency in financial processes to drive operational excellence.
• Technology and Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement advanced financial software and tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations. Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.

  Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior accounting or finance leadership role. Prior experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry is a strong advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations. Experience with financial consolidation and reporting tools is essential.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership abilities. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively. A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
