Regional Controller – MENA (Saudi Nationals Only)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Controller to join our team in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This pivotal role is exclusively open to Saudi nationals and will be based in Saudi Arabia. As a Regional Controller, you will play a critical part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving strategic financial initiatives across the MENA region. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting, optimizing performance, and supporting the growth of our business in this dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, including the Regional CEO and CFO, by analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and recommending actionable insights to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local and international financial regulations, including GAAP and IFRS standards, as well as regional compliance requirements specific to the MENA region. Oversee internal and external audits to maintain transparency and mitigate risks.
• Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for the MENA region. Present accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and variances for informed decision-making.
• Risk Management: Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, minimize financial risks, and ensure compliance with corporate policies. Collaborate with the risk management team to address potential vulnerabilities and enhance operational resilience.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and drive collective success.
• Strategic Initiatives: Partner with cross-functional teams to support mergers and acquisitions, market expansions, and other high-impact projects. Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives in the MENA region.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial matters, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and industry knowledge. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a multinational corporation or a large regional organization. Prior experience in the MENA region is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of local tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and financial reporting standards in the MENA region.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive consensus on complex financial matters. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
