Superstructure Engineer (Finishing)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superstructure Engineer (Finishing) to join our dynamic team at JASARA PMC, based in Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in overseeing and executing the finishing phases of superstructure projects, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Project Oversight: Lead and supervise the finishing stages of superstructure projects, including concrete works, structural steel installations, façade systems, and interior finishing elements, to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance to construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders on best practices for finishing processes, materials selection, and compliance with engineering specifications and international standards.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures to verify that all finishing work meets or exceeds project requirements, including structural integrity, aesthetic standards, and durability.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with architects, designers, structural engineers, and other professionals to align finishing activities with the overall project vision, resolving any conflicts or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Budget & Schedule Management: Monitor project progress against established timelines and budgets, identifying potential risks and proposing corrective actions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a culture of safety awareness among all personnel involved in the finishing processes.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, inspection logs, and compliance documentation, to support audits and future reference.
• Innovation & Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies in superstructure finishing to recommend and implement improvements that enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in superstructure engineering, with a strong focus on finishing works in large-scale construction projects.
• Professional certification, such as PE (Professional Engineer) or CEng (Chartered Engineer), is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of international construction codes and standards, including ACI, AISC, and local regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in industry-specific software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM 360, is an added advantage.
