Position Overview

Stranger Soccer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced License Owner & Operator to oversee and manage our operations in Riyadh. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of licensing regulations, business development, and operational excellence to ensure the success and growth of our soccer-related ventures in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing licensed operations within the sports and entertainment industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Licensing Compliance: Ensure full adherence to all local and international licensing laws, regulations, and standards governing soccer-related operations in Riyadh. This includes securing, renewing, and maintaining all necessary licenses and permits in a timely manner.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Stranger Soccer’s footprint in Riyadh. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and commercial agreements that enhance brand visibility and revenue generation.
• Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of licensed activities, including facility management, event coordination, and administrative functions. Implement efficient processes to optimize productivity, cost control, and service delivery.
• Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure the profitability and sustainability of licensed operations. Monitor revenue streams, expenses, and profitability to drive informed decision-making.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, local communities, and business partners. Act as the primary point of contact for all licensing-related inquiries and negotiations.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with licensing compliance, operational activities, and market dynamics. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization’s interests and reputation.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of professionals responsible for executing licensed operations. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in licensing, business development, or operational management within the sports, entertainment, or hospitality industries. Prior experience in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, is a significant advantage.
• Licensing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of local and international licensing frameworks, including legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiatives and their impact on the sports and entertainment sectors is essential.
• Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex ideas effectively. Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are critical.
• Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to drive business growth and operational efficiency. Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and market research is required.
• Cultural Awareness: A deep understanding of the local business culture, customs, and regulatory environment in Riyadh. Ability to navigate cultural nuances and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
