Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team at Zobiz Hospitality. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the critical liaison between our IT infrastructure and business objectives, ensuring the seamless execution of analytical, developmental, testing, and deployment tasks for our suite of innovative software products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a leading provider of hospitality solutions, including eZee FrontDesk, eZee BurrP!, eZee Optimus!, and eZee Absolute, among others.

Key Responsibilities

The Systems Administrator will play a central role in maintaining and enhancing our technology stack, which encompasses a diverse range of platforms and systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• System Administration and Security: Manage user access, enforce password policies, and uphold robust security protocols to safeguard our systems and data. This includes overseeing 15% of your time dedicated to these critical tasks.
• POS and Hotel Software Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive, company-wide strategy for the installation, administration, and ongoing optimization of our Point-of-Sale (POS) and hotel operating systems. This represents 45% of your core responsibilities and is essential to our operational success.
• Software and Infrastructure Development: Design, develop, and maintain essential software tools, including operating systems, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related technologies. Your expertise will directly support our POS and Hotel Management Software Solutions, accounting for 30% of your workload.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system usage and performance to identify opportunities for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal functionality. This task will occupy 10% of your time.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a systems administration or related role, with a proven track record of emerging as an expert in a specific skill set or business area while maintaining a focus on daily execution.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with a combination of Windows, Linux, iSeries, EMC, NetApp, WebSphere, Telephony, Networking, or VMware environments. Familiarity with current computing platforms and industry best practices is essential.
• Domain Knowledge: Prior experience with POS and hotel software systems is highly desirable, as it will enable you to contribute effectively to our specialized product suite.
• Independent Execution: The ability to complete day-to-day activities independently while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to oversee and mentor a small team of junior staff members.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be given preference:

• Prior experience working in a large hotel or publicly traded company in a similar systems administration role.
