Key Responsibilities

The System Administrator will play a central role in managing and optimizing our IT environment. Your core responsibilities will include:

• System Maintenance and Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime. Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to ensure optimal system health and reliability.
• Server and Network Administration: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of servers, both on-premises and in the cloud. Maintain robust network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs, to safeguard data integrity and ensure secure connectivity.
• User Support and Training: Provide technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user proficiency with IT systems and applications.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data and systems from cyber threats. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001, as applicable.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design, implement, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data availability and business continuity in the event of system failures or cyber incidents.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with vendors, third-party service providers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate, procure, and integrate new technologies that align with organizational goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and IT service metrics for management review.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are highly desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Strong knowledge of networking concepts, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated aptitude for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues with a methodical and analytical approach. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships across departments.
