Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic technology team. Key Responsibilities

• System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This includes managing operating systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
• Network Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and monitoring of our network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks. Troubleshoot connectivity issues and implement security best practices to safeguard data integrity.
• Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to enforce security policies, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Manage user access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss. Regularly test recovery procedures to validate their effectiveness.
• User Support and Training: Provide technical assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user proficiency and promote best practices in IT usage.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate, procure, and implement new technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and project statuses to inform decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration, network management, or a closely related discipline is required. Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is essential. Strong knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing/switching is also critical.

Candidates should demonstrate expertise in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds). A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including firewalls, encryption, and endpoint protection, is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are imperative. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Cisco CCNA are a plus.
