Construction/General Laborer

Position Overview

Nexus Steel is seeking motivated and physically capable individuals to join our team as Construction/General Laborers. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and opportunities for growth within a dynamic industrial environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing essential labor tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to the efficient operation of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Firewatch Duties: Monitor assigned areas during hot work operations to identify potential hazards and respond promptly to mitigate risks, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Physical Labor Support: Assist with a variety of hands-on tasks, including but not limited to material handling, site preparation, equipment operation assistance, and general construction activities.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Material Handling: Lift, move, and position materials weighing up to 65 pounds, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment as needed.

Work Schedule & Requirements

This role requires flexibility and a strong work ethic. Successful candidates must be prepared to meet the following expectations:

• Work Hours: Full-time position with a schedule of 40 to 60 hours per week, including potential overtime as needed.
• Shift Availability: Willingness to work 8 to 12-hour shifts, six days per week, based on project demands and operational needs.
• Reliability: Must possess reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Overtime Readiness: Ability and willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the project timeline.
