الوصف الوظيفي
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Testing Engineer to join our dynamic Fiber Optic Lab team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing and evaluation of fiber optic communication products, ensuring compliance with international standards such as IEC, ISO, Telcordia (GR), and ITU-T. Your expertise will support the laboratory’s accreditation efforts, enhance our quality management system, and contribute to the development of innovative testing capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in fiber optic systems, hands-on experience with advanced testing equipment, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality test reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Testing: Perform rigorous testing and evaluation of fiber optic cables, optical fibers, connectors, patch cords, closures, and passive optical components to assess their performance and reliability.
- Execute Standardized Testing Procedures: Conduct optical, mechanical, environmental, and durability testing in strict accordance with international standards, including IEC, ISO, Telcordia (GR), and ITU-T guidelines.
- Operate and Maintain Laboratory Equipment: Utilize and maintain advanced testing equipment such as OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), Optical Power Meters, Optical Light Sources, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, Environmental Chambers, Tensile and Compression Testing Machines, and Climatic and Aging Test Equipment. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and functioning optimally.
- Analyze Test Data and Generate Reports: Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to prepare accurate and detailed technical reports. Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and compliant with laboratory standards.
