Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across our road construction projects. In this critical position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough on-site inspections to verify that all materials and workmanship adhere to project specifications, industry codes, and established standards. Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Inspector, your core duties will encompass a range of inspection and verification activities, including:

• Road Construction Inspections: Perform detailed inspections of road construction activities, including earthworks, subgrade preparation, Granular Sub-Base (GSB), sub-base layers, and asphalt paving, to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Material Verification: Validate that all construction materials meet approved specifications and align with test results, ensuring consistency and reliability in every phase of the project.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive daily inspection reports and checklists, documenting findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions to facilitate transparency and accountability.
• Non-Conformance Resolution: Collaborate closely with contractors to address and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), providing guidance to enhance workmanship and prevent future issues.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Participate in joint inspections with client and consultant representatives to ensure alignment on quality standards and project deliverables.
• Compliance Assurance: Uphold compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and project-specific Quality Control (QC) procedures, ensuring that all work meets regulatory and contractual obligations.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and professional attributes:

• Educational Background: A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a solid foundation in construction principles and practices.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control within road or highway construction projects, demonstrating your ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction materials, testing methodologies, and industry standards, including relevant codes and regulations.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional documentation and reporting capabilities, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with contractors, clients, and team members.
