Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Information Technology to lead our IT department, with a primary focus on the implementation, administration, and continuous enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). This pivotal role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in D365 F&O with robust IT operational leadership to oversee the Microsoft 365 environment, server operations, IT security, and corporate website management. This position demands a hands-on leader capable of managing vendors, users, and a small internal team to drive technological excellence and business alignment.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of IT will be responsible for the following core functions:
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Leadership:
- Act as the in-house owner and subject-matter expert for D365 F&O, ensuring seamless integration across finance, supply chain, procurement, inventory, and reporting functions.
- Manage system configuration, user roles, security protocols, workflows, and master data governance to maintain data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of both functional and technical issues, collaborating with Microsoft and third-party implementation partners as required.
- Plan and execute system updates, releases, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment cycles with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Support and oversee integrations between D365 F&O and other enterprise systems, including data migration initiatives and interface monitoring.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the ERP to enhance productivity and user adoption through targeted training and comprehensive documentation.
- Microsoft 365 Administration:
- Administer the Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and user licensing to ensure optimal collaboration and productivity.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes, access rights, and group policies to maintain security and compliance.
- Resolve day-to-day Microsoft 365 issues reported by end users and ensure uninterrupted service availability.
- Server & Infrastructure Operations:
- Oversee server operations, including monitoring, routine maintenance, and performance optimization of cloud-based infrastructure.
- Ensure business continuity by implementing and maintaining robust backup and recovery procedures.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware, networking, and infrastructure support to uphold system reliability.
- IT Security Management:
- Monitor and address security alerts, antivirus, endpoint protection, and access controls to safeguard the organization’s digital assets.
- Ensure timely application of security patches and updates across all systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies related to data protection, acceptable use, and password management to uphold compliance and security standards.
- Corporate Website Management:
- Maintain the corporate website, ensuring content is accurate, up-to-date, and secure.
- Coordinate with web hosting providers, designers, and agencies for updates, domain renewals, SSL certificate management, and issue resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or AX 2012 with D365 F&O migration experience).
- Proven track record of leading at least one full-lifecycle D365 F&O implementation or significant migration project.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams, including functional, technical, and third-party vendors.
- Strong functional knowledge of core D365 modules, such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Retail.
- Solid understanding of Azure integrations, Lifecycle Services (LCS), Power Platform, and data migration frameworks (DIXF).
