Key Responsibilities

As the Assistant IT Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• System and Hardware Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of critical application systems such as Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, and Messaging System, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
• User Support and Troubleshooting: Address and resolve IT-related issues for staff, including hardware malfunctions and application system errors, to minimize disruptions to hotel operations.
• Operational Procedures and Compliance: Implement and enforce standard IT operating procedures, including checklists, and ensure adherence to new requirements and enhancements. Maintain compliance with company policies, including CSR initiatives, environmental sustainability practices, and local regulatory standards.
• System Development and Enhancement: Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement new application systems and enhancements that improve operational efficiency across departments, aligning with the hotel’s strategic goals.
• Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance IT infrastructure and processes, providing actionable recommendations to management to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a senior analyst or programmer role within a large organization, demonstrating a strong technical foundation and problem-solving abilities.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, providing the necessary expertise to manage complex IT systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with hospitality management systems (e.g., Opera PMS) and IT infrastructure, including hardware maintenance and data security protocols.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure uninterrupted IT support for hotel operations.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Arabic, enabling clear and effective communication with a diverse team and guest base.
• CSR Awareness: A strong understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, policies, and procedures, with a commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship.
