In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in driving the strategic acquisition of cutting-edge technology solutions that align with our organization’s ambitious vision for innovation and growth. As a critical member of the procurement team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and secure high-value technology resources that enhance operational efficiency, support digital transformation initiatives, and contribute to the long-term success of Qiddiya’s landmark projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing and Procurement: Lead the end-to-end procurement process for technology-related goods and services, from initial market research and vendor identification to contract negotiation and final acquisition. Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to Qiddiya’s policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in procurement governance.
  • Vendor Management and Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with technology vendors, suppliers, and service providers. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure timely delivery of products and services to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Cost Optimization and Value Delivery: Analyze procurement spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize value without compromising quality. Work closely with finance and project teams to align procurement activities with budgetary goals and financial targets.
  • Risk Assessment and Compliance: Conduct thorough risk assessments for technology procurement activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and legal regulations. Mitigate potential risks related to vendor reliability, supply chain disruptions, and data security.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the procurement team and internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, project management, and executive leadership. Translate business requirements into procurement specifications and ensure clear communication throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Innovation and Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of emerging trends in technology procurement, including advancements in hardware, software, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on adopting innovative technologies that drive competitive advantage.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee the drafting, review, and execution of technology-related contracts, ensuring that terms and conditions are favorable, legally sound, and aligned with Qiddiya’s objectives. Monitor contract performance and manage renewals or terminations as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a combination of educational qualifications, professional experience, and technical competencies. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, or PMP) is highly desirable.
  • At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in technology procurement, strategic sourcing, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex procurement projects in a corporate or enterprise environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level stakeholders and vendors.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement methodologies, contract law, and risk management principles, with a keen eye for detail and compliance.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with e-procurement platforms and data analytics tools is a plus.
