Senior Product Manager – Oncology (Riyadh)

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Manager in the Oncology division, your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Product Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies aligned with Gilead Sciences’ mission to advance oncology care. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including R&D, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams, to identify market opportunities and prioritize product initiatives.
• Portfolio Management: Oversee the lifecycle management of oncology products, from early-stage development through commercialization and post-launch optimization. Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a liaison between commercial, medical, and operational teams to drive cohesive product launches and sustained market penetration. Lead initiatives to enhance product value propositions and improve patient access to therapies.
• Market Intelligence & Insights: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans. Leverage data-driven insights to anticipate market trends and proactively address challenges.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups to foster trust and collaboration. Represent Gilead Sciences at industry conferences, advisory boards, and scientific forums.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Track product performance through KPIs, sales data, and market feedback. Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies to maximize product success and patient impact.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or Healthcare) is required. An advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or MS in Oncology) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in product management, preferably within the oncology or biopharmaceutical sector. Prior involvement in product launches, lifecycle management, or commercial strategy is essential.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of oncology therapeutics, including mechanisms of action, treatment paradigms, and regulatory pathways. Familiarity with market access strategies and healthcare systems in the Middle East is a plus.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus across diverse groups. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex scientific and business concepts clearly.
• Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Proficiency in market research tools, CRM systems, and business intelligence platforms.
