Your Role and Impact

As a Backend Engineer at IntelliSense.io, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data systems that drive our innovative platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable solutions, implement best practices, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Your work will directly influence how we build and deploy technology, setting the standard for excellence in our engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development and Testing: Extract requirements, design, develop, and rigorously test software applications to meet both internal and client-driven needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the QA team and data scientists to establish and refine processes that optimize product outcomes and ensure seamless integration.
• Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to applications and services, with a focus on identifying and addressing bugs in microservices.
• Integration and Innovation: Partner with the data science team to integrate equipment and process models into software components and services, driving the evolution of our platform.
• Engineering Excellence: Apply engineering principles, mathematical concepts, and computer science techniques to develop high-performance software solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Define and implement unit test codes, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for all developed software components and services.
• Documentation and Maintenance: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all services and their dependencies, fostering transparency and ease of maintenance.

Your Ideal Profile

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with a strong foundation in software engineering, particularly in data systems. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Java and Node.js, with a solid understanding of SQL and experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Messaging and Services: Hands-on experience with message queues such as NATS or Pub/Sub, and proficiency in building web services using REST and SOAP architectures.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker to deploy and manage scalable applications.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the confidence to thrive in distributed teams, ensuring seamless coordination across global offices.
• Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience that demonstrates your technical acumen.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Arabic to facilitate effective communication in our diverse work environment.
