Lab Supervisor

Lab Supervisor - Jeddah

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lab Supervisor to join our team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or Food Sciences, along with a minimum of 5 years of full-time experience supervising a laboratory, including 2 years in the FMCG industry.

• Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or Food Sciences
• Minimum 5 years of full-time laboratory supervision experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the FMCG industry
• ISO 17025, ISO 22000, HACCP certifications

• Skills:
• Expertise in ISO 17025, ISO 22000, FSSC, HACCP, and food safety standards
• Proven QA & QC planning and execution
• Quality internal audit experience
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Bilingual: English and Arabic

Responsibilities:

• Report quality issues and follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate with production on product release, rework, rejection, or disposal based on lab results
• Stop production when products or processes fail to meet approved quality standards
• Investigate, document, and close non-conformities, deviations, audit findings, and customer complaints
• Ensure lab compliance with ISO, HACCP, GMP, and other applicable quality and food-safety requirements
• Reject non-conforming raw materials and maintain required records
• Manage laboratory equipment, chemicals, consumables, and water tanker orders, receipt, and verification
• Coordinate product sampling, reference sample registration, and sample dispatch
• Organize and participate in sensory and taste-testing activities
• Ensure equipment calibration and maintenance records are up-to-date
• Oversee pest-control activities and water-storage tank inspections and cleaning
• Participate in relevant production, quality, and daily operational meetings
