Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at Meem Co. for Hotel Management and Operations in Jeddah. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive measures to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions to hotel operations, addressing problems in a timely and efficient manner.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to proactively identify and address potential issues before they escalate, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and reducing repair costs.
• Emergency Response: Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies, including after-hours and weekend calls, to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and staff.
• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory standards to maintain a secure and compliant work environment. Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with industry best practices.
• Equipment Upgrades: Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality within the existing infrastructure.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs, to provide a clear audit trail and support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including housekeeping, engineering, and guest services, to address maintenance needs and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Education: A diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or a related technical field is required. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, preferably within the hospitality or facilities management industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Familiarity with modern maintenance management software is advantageous.
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
• Certifications: Valid certifications in relevant technical areas, such as HVAC, electrical safety, or plumbing, are highly desirable.
