Assistant Operator, Bundling

Position Overview

AL ITTEFAQ STEEL PRODUCTS CO. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Operator, Bundling to join our dynamic team in Jeddah. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our bundling processes, contributing to the seamless production and delivery of high-quality steel products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operation and Monitoring: Assist in the operation of bundling machinery, ensuring all equipment functions optimally and adheres to safety protocols. Monitor production lines to identify and address any deviations or issues promptly.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality control team to verify that bundled products meet industry standards and customer specifications. Perform routine inspections and report any defects or inconsistencies.
• Equipment Maintenance: Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of bundling equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. Ensure all machinery is in compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
• Process Optimization: Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting enhancements to bundling processes, reducing downtime, and increasing productivity. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest industry practices.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety procedures to mitigate risks in the workplace.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with production supervisors, operators, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Communicate effectively to resolve operational challenges and support team objectives.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production metrics, equipment performance, and maintenance activities. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for review by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a bundling or similar role.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with bundling machinery, industrial equipment, and basic mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols, including OSHA standards or equivalent. Commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions efficiently. Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and/or Arabic. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Physical Requirements: Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 kg, and operating machinery in a controlled environment.
