Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be entrusted with a broad spectrum of accounting responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to stakeholders, including senior management and external auditors.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled promptly. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop, monitor, and analyze annual budgets and financial forecasts. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and improve financial performance.
• Tax Compliance and Planning: Ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations, including Value Added Tax (VAT), corporate tax, and other statutory obligations. Liaise with tax advisors and regulatory bodies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure full compliance.
• Cost Accounting and Analysis: Analyze cost structures, identify variances, and recommend cost-saving measures to enhance operational efficiency. Support management in making data-driven decisions through comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth and efficient audit processes. Address audit findings promptly and implement corrective actions to strengthen financial controls.
• Team Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of financial activities.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior accounting or financial management role. Experience in the industrial, manufacturing, or engineering sector is a strong advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with financial reporting tools and business intelligence platforms is a plus.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity.
