Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant & Finance Specialist, you will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that are critical to the financial health and operational excellence of SURRATI PERFUMES EST. Your core duties will include:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting policies. Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop, monitor, and analyze annual budgets and financial forecasts. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and improve financial performance.
• Tax Planning & Compliance: Manage tax filings, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory obligations, while ensuring adherence to Saudi tax laws and regulations. Work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to minimize liabilities and maximize compliance.
• Internal Controls & Audit Support: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data. Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.
• Financial Analysis & Decision Support: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Present actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants and finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional development.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. Implement best practices to streamline operations and support digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, you must possess a combination of technical expertise, industry knowledge, and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or supervisory role. Prior experience in the FMCG or luxury goods industry, particularly in fragrances or cosmetics, is a strong advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and pivot tables). Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IFRS, Saudi GAAP, and local tax regulations. Familiarity with VAT compliance and Zakat requirements in Saudi Arabia is essential.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative work environment. Ability to influence and drive change while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus but not required.
