Project Manager - Construction Supervision Consultant

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager - Construction Supervision Consultant will be entrusted with a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

• Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management. Ensure alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Construction Supervision: Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved designs, specifications, and safety protocols. Monitor progress and address any deviations promptly to mitigate risks.
• Quality Assurance and Control: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures to guarantee that all construction activities meet industry standards and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between the client, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Facilitate clear and consistent communication to foster collaboration and resolve conflicts efficiently.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to safeguard all personnel and assets.
• Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures and manage financial resources to prevent cost overruns. Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to senior management on a regular basis.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of project activities, including progress reports, change orders, and compliance documentation. Ensure all records are up-to-date and readily accessible for audits or reviews.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a multidisciplinary team of engineers, supervisors, and support staff. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CMAA) is highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience in Saudi Arabia’s construction sector is a significant advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), and industry-specific tools. Familiarity with local regulations and international standards is essential.
• Leadership and Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on results.
• Certifications: Valid certifications such as OSHA, ISO, or other relevant safety and quality management credentials are preferred.
