Position Overview

My Tyre Auto Service Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Agricultural Engineer to oversee farm management and operations in Riyadh. This pivotal role demands a deep understanding of agricultural engineering principles, modern farming techniques, and sustainable resource management to drive productivity, efficiency, and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic vision to lead a dynamic agricultural team while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Farm Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day agricultural operations, including crop cultivation, irrigation systems, soil management, and pest control, to optimize yield and quality while minimizing environmental impact.
• Strategic Planning & Development: Develop and implement long-term farm management strategies, including crop rotation, resource allocation, and infrastructure upgrades, to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a multidisciplinary team of agricultural professionals, including farm technicians, agronomists, and laborers, by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Technological Integration: Evaluate, adopt, and manage advanced agricultural technologies, such as precision farming tools, automated irrigation systems, and data analytics platforms, to improve decision-making and operational precision.
• Budget & Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage annual farm budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or productivity. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational goals.
• Regulatory Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure adherence to local, national, and international agricultural regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards. Implement sustainable farming practices to reduce carbon footprint, conserve water, and promote biodiversity.
• Supply Chain & Vendor Management: Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to secure high-quality agricultural inputs, equipment, and maintenance services while negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
• Risk Management & Contingency Planning: Identify potential risks to farm operations, such as weather disruptions, pest outbreaks, or market fluctuations, and develop proactive contingency plans to mitigate adverse impacts.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Farm Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in agricultural sciences is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in agricultural engineering, farm management, or a similar capacity, with a proven track record of leading large-scale farming operations.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of modern farming equipment, irrigation systems, soil science, crop protection, and agricultural data management tools. Familiarity with precision agriculture technologies is a significant advantage.
• Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, including executives, regulatory bodies, and laborers.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to analyze operational challenges, identify root causes, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Regulatory & Ethical Awareness: A strong commitment to ethical farming practices, environmental stewardship, and compliance with local and international agricultural regulations.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is required; additional languages are a plus.
