Electrical Protection Engineer - Yanbu Operations

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Protection Engineer to provide technical support for our internal Operations & Maintenance (O&M) customers in Yanbu. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective plant and network protection, driving operational excellence, and enhancing overall reliability.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Attend to technical support/service requests, conducting technical studies and modifications for electrical protection systems and equipment, adhering to applicable specifications and international standards.
• Perform asset remaining life assessment (ARLA) studies and scheduling.
• Prepare preliminary scope of work for CAPEX/OPEX projects and conduct maintenance inspections as required.
• Recommend procedural improvements and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures.
• Support reliability studies (RCM, RBI, RCA, IPF) and promote reliability culture.
• Update technical specifications and participate in the PES gating system for technology assessment.
• Review and provide comments on internal customer technical submittals and engineering design packages.
• Contribute to staff recruitment, training, development, and motivation to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
• Participate in Electrical HAZOP and technical discussions with internal and external customers.
• Explore initiatives for energy savings, renewable energy, efficiency, and cost savings.
• Support internal lab-related analysis and technical tasks assigned from RCA outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electrical Power Engineering.
• 7-10 years of experience in a utility organization, with 7 years in high voltage protection.
• Proficient in SAP, computerized protection tools, and Microsoft Office packages.
• Proven experience in technical studies, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and developing specifications, procedures, and SOPs.
