Key Responsibilities

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

• Project Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive engineering designs for residential, commercial, industrial, and public infrastructure projects, utilizing advanced software and industry best practices to ensure structural integrity and functionality.
• Site Inspections and Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, assess compliance with design specifications, and address any technical challenges that may arise during the execution phase.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local, national, and international building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards to mitigate risks and maintain project legality.
• Budget and Resource Management: Collaborate with project managers to prepare accurate cost estimates, allocate resources efficiently, and optimize project budgets without compromising quality or safety.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications, maintaining meticulous records for future reference, audits, and client deliverables.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, surveyors, and other stakeholders to foster a cohesive and productive project environment, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of objectives.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Integrate sustainable design principles and innovative construction methodologies to enhance project efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and promote long-term viability.
• Problem-Solving: Address unforeseen technical issues, propose viable solutions, and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track and within scope.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional certification, such as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE), is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a proven track record in project execution and management.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international standards such as ISO, ASTM, and ACI.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2, is advantageous.
