Key Responsibilities

• Guest Service Excellence: Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, addressing their needs promptly and professionally. Assist with poolside inquiries, towel distribution, and general recreational activities to ensure a seamless experience.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain the pool area and surrounding recreational spaces in pristine condition. This includes regular cleaning, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal working order. Monitor water quality and safety standards to comply with health regulations.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce pool safety protocols, including monitoring guest activities, preventing accidents, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Ensure all recreational areas are free from hazards and adhere to Marriott’s stringent safety guidelines.
• Equipment Management: Organize and maintain poolside equipment such as loungers, umbrellas, and recreational gear. Ensure items are clean, functional, and readily available for guest use. Restock supplies as needed to support uninterrupted service.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to uphold operational efficiency. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and service standards.
• Guest Engagement: Foster a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests in a friendly and approachable manner. Offer recommendations for local attractions, dining options, or recreational activities to enhance their stay.

Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with prior experience in a guest service or recreational capacity. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to interact effectively with guests and colleagues. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety are critical. Proficiency in basic computer applications and familiarity with pool operations are advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Work Environment

This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment within one of Marriott International’s luxury properties in Jeddah. The role requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting, often in outdoor settings exposed to varying weather conditions. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours is necessary to accommodate peak guest activity periods. Uniforms and necessary equipment will be provided to ensure professionalism and comfort.
