Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Officer, Technology Asset Management to oversee the comprehensive lifecycle of IT assets. This critical role will ensure the efficient management, compliance, and optimization of hardware, software, and related IT resources in full alignment with SNB’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation across the organization’s IT asset portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Officer, Technology Asset Management will be responsible for the following core functions:
- End-to-End IT Asset Lifecycle Management:
- Plan, procure, deploy, maintain, transfer, and dispose of IT assets in strict accordance with SNB’s policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure seamless integration and operational continuity of IT assets across all business units and departments.
- Oversee technology refresh, upgrade, and decommissioning initiatives to align with evolving business needs and IT strategy.
- Inventory Management & Accuracy:
- Maintain a comprehensive, real-time inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and related components.
- Conduct regular asset reviews, reconciliations, and audits to validate accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure all IT asset management activities adhere to SNB’s internal policies, regulatory mandates, and industry best practices.
- Support compliance with software license agreements and maintain audit readiness to mitigate legal and financial risks.
- Optimization & Cost Management:
- Monitor asset utilization trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and resource optimization.
- Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to enhance asset performance and lifecycle management.
- Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:
- Collaborate closely with IT, Procurement, Finance, and other key stakeholders to streamline asset acquisition, tracking, and reporting processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all asset-related inquiries, escalations, and issue resolution.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop and deliver detailed asset management reports, interactive dashboards, and KPIs to support executive decision-making.
- Track and report on asset performance, compliance status, and lifecycle metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Governance & Risk Management:
- Support IT governance initiatives, risk assessments, audit preparations, and compliance activities related to asset management.
- Ensure adherence to asset documentation standards, naming conventions, and record-keeping protocols throughout the asset lifecycle.
Qualifications & Competencies
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Saudi national.
- Education & Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM), Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT Asset Management, preferably within a large enterprise or financial institution.
- Hands-on experience with IT inventory management tools, asset repositories, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) systems.
- Prior involvement in IT governance, audit, risk management, or compliance-related initiatives is considered an asset.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Expertise in software license management, compliance auditing, and vendor negotiation.
- Strong analytical acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking capabilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
