Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Polisher to join our team and contribute to the exceptional craftsmanship of our luxury timepieces. In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing precision polishing, re-finishing, and cleaning on high-end watches made from premium materials such as steel, gold, and platinum. Your expertise will ensure that each timepiece meets the stringent aesthetic standards required before final assembly or repair, thereby upholding our brand’s reputation for excellence and precision.

Key Responsibilities

The Polisher will execute a range of specialized tasks to enhance the visual and tactile quality of watch components, including:

• Expert Polishing and Re-finishing: Perform advanced polishing techniques, including lapping, mirror polishing, and satining, to achieve flawless surfaces on watch cases and components.
• Quality Assurance: Adhere rigorously to established polishing guidelines and work procedures to maintain consistent, high-quality results across all projects.
• Time Management: Meet defined lead times for polishing tasks to support seamless workflow and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
• Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a pristine and well-organized polishing station, including the proper upkeep of tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage the stock of polishing consumables, ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked and readily available for uninterrupted operations.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to optimize daily and weekly workloads, fostering a productive and cohesive work environment.
• Reporting and Documentation: Accurately record and report daily figures related to polishing activities, providing transparency and accountability in production metrics.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all workshop safety rules and regulations to ensure a secure and hazard-free working environment for yourself and your team.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in polishing luxury watches, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • In-depth knowledge of various polishing techniques, including lapping, mirror polishing, and satining.
  • Proficiency in operating specialized tools and machinery, such as lapping machines and Crevoisier attachments.
• Language Skills: A basic level of written and spoken English to facilitate clear communication and collaboration within the team.
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that every component meets the highest standards of precision and aesthetics.
  • Strong manual dexterity and a steady hand to perform intricate polishing tasks with accuracy and finesse.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered advantageous:

• Certifications or training from recognized watchmaking or polishing institutions or luxury watch brands.
• Demonstrated experience working with high-end watch brands or in a luxury goods manufacturing environment.
