Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a broad range of financial and accounting functions, including but not limited to:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to facilitate seamless and compliant financial assessments.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to guarantee the timely and error-free completion of financial statements.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of the annual budget by providing financial insights and data-driven recommendations. Monitor budget variances, analyze trends, and prepare comprehensive reports to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Compliance and Regulation: Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, including GAAP and IFRS standards. Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections to maintain optimal cash flow. Manage accounts receivable aging reports, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to enhance financial performance and reduce outstanding balances.
• Taxation: Prepare and file VAT and ZAKAT returns in accordance with regulatory deadlines. Ensure strict compliance with tax laws while providing strategic tax planning and advisory services to minimize liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to support informed decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, with a proven track record in financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices, including GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency in advanced accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, along with strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
