Head of Finance

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Finance to join the leadership team of a forward-thinking fintech company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a high-impact, senior finance position that operates across a diversified investment group with a broad portfolio spanning multiple sectors and jurisdictions. The role is designed for a finance leader who thrives in a dynamic investment environment, capable of building robust financial infrastructure while serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership.

Unlike traditional CFO roles, this position requires a hands-on approach to financial leadership, with the ability to navigate complex multi-entity structures and drive growth across diverse business verticals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial governance, strategic decision-making, and cross-sector collaboration, ensuring alignment and scalability across the entire portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide strategic direction and financial oversight for a diversified group of companies, including circular economy and infrastructure, fintech, technology, logistics, and wellbeing sectors.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with leadership teams across portfolio companies to support growth initiatives, optimize financial performance, and facilitate informed strategic decision-making.
• Financial Infrastructure & Governance: Oversee financial planning, reporting, and controls at the group level, ensuring compliance, transparency, and alignment with corporate objectives.
• Multi-Entity & Multi-Jurisdiction Management: Lead the financial management of complex, multi-entity structures across different jurisdictions, optimizing tax efficiency, regulatory compliance, and operational scalability.
• Scalability & Growth Support: Drive the financial scalability of businesses within the group, identifying opportunities for expansion, investment, and operational efficiency across diverse sectors.
• Financial Governance & Alignment: Establish and maintain robust financial governance frameworks to ensure consistency, accountability, and alignment across the portfolio.

Skills & Experience

• Senior Finance Leadership: Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role, with experience at the group or multi-entity level.
• Fintech & Project Finance Expertise: Strong background in fintech and/or project finance, with a deep understanding of financial models, investment structures, and capital allocation strategies.
• Multi-Entity & Multi-Jurisdiction Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions, including regulatory compliance and tax optimization.
• GCC Market Knowledge: Solid experience in the GCC market, with a strong preference for candidates with direct exposure to Saudi Arabia’s business landscape.
• Investment-Driven Mindset: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, investment-driven environment, with a keen commercial acumen and the capacity to partner effectively with business leaders across varied sectors.
• Location & Relocation: Based in Riyadh or willing to relocate to the region to support the company’s strategic objectives.
