About the Role

Business Umbrella is seeking an experienced and visionary ERP Director to join a prestigious multi-campus education group in Saudi Arabia. This is a critical leadership position exclusively reserved for Saudi nationals, based at the group’s Head Office in Jeddah, with direct reporting lines to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital future of the institution by overseeing the strategic development, optimization, and governance of the entire ERP ecosystem.

Job Purpose

The ERP Director will be responsible for providing high-level strategic leadership to ensure the seamless implementation, continuous optimization, and robust governance of the group’s ERP platform. This encompasses core modules such as Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Procurement, and integration with the Student Information System (SIS). The role demands a forward-thinking approach to ensure the ERP system not only scales efficiently with the expansion of the institution’s campuses but also empowers data-driven decision-making across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive ERP strategy and roadmap that aligns with the group’s broader digital transformation initiatives and the national Vision 2030 goals for education technology.
• System Implementation & Optimization: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of new ERP modules, system upgrades, and rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations while maximizing functionality and user adoption.
• Data Security & Integrity: Establish and enforce stringent data security protocols, maintain system integrity, and develop robust disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical business information.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and inspire the ERP Solutions team while fostering strong partnerships with external vendors, system integrators, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive project success.
• Process Standardization: Drive the standardization of business processes across all campuses through the automation of workflows enabled by the ERP system, enhancing efficiency and consistency.
• Analytics & Reporting: Design and deliver real-time, actionable dashboards for senior leadership, providing insights into key performance indicators such as enrollment trends, financial performance, procurement activities, and human resources metrics.
• Vendor & Budget Management: Negotiate and manage vendor contracts with leading ERP providers such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics, while ensuring strict adherence to licensing budgets and procurement policies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance of the ERP system with Saudi regulatory requirements, including Zakat, VAT, and Ministry of Education (MOE) reporting standards, mitigating risks associated with non-compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration; a Master’s degree is highly desirable.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in IT and ERP systems, with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory or director-level role within an ERP environment.
• Technical Expertise: Proven track record in large-scale ERP implementations, particularly with Finance, Human Resources, and Payroll modules, preferably within SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics environments.
• Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the education sector or within a multi-site enterprise is strongly preferred, offering insights into the unique challenges of academic institutions.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential to effectively communicate with stakeholders and ensure alignment with local business practices.
• Nationality Requirement: This position is exclusively open to Saudi nationals.

Compensation & Benefits

The ERP Director will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SAR 35,000 to SAR 50,000, benchmarked against senior IT and ERP director roles within GCC-based enterprises and education groups. This compensation package reflects the high level of responsibility, expertise, and strategic impact expected in this role.
