Virtucruit is collaborating with a premier mining enterprise in Saudi Arabia to recruit a highly skilled Drilling Data Analyst for its Drilling Department. Key Responsibilities

The Drilling Data Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

• Data Collection and Validation: Gathering and compiling drilling data from multiple rigs and sites, ensuring accuracy and integrity by validating field data against operational logs and reports.
• Performance Analysis: Analyzing critical drilling parameters such as penetration rates, recovery factors, and downtime trends to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.
• Reporting and Visualization: Developing and maintaining dynamic dashboards and visualization tools using advanced software to track drilling performance and present insights in a clear, actionable format.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Working closely with drilling engineers and technical teams to support performance evaluation models, conduct root cause analysis on delays, and recommend data-driven solutions for process improvement.
• KPI Tracking and Forecasting: Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as rig utilization, productivity, and cost per meter, while supporting forecasting efforts to meet production targets.
• Data Integration and Standardization: Integrating drilling data with datasets from other departments to provide comprehensive insights, ensuring data standardization across multiple sites, and maintaining centralized drilling data systems and databases.
• Historical Data Management: Maintaining and updating historical drilling datasets for benchmarking purposes and supporting the planning team with data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
• Stakeholder Communication: Preparing and presenting analytical reports for management and stakeholders, ensuring confidentiality and proper storage of operational data while adhering to organizational policies.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field, with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably within the mining, oil and gas, or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, with a strong preference for Power BI; experience with other analytical software will be considered an advantage.
• Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying trends, patterns, and inefficiencies in complex datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to present insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Technical proficiency in maintaining and optimizing data systems, including experience with database management and data standardization processes.
