Crew Control Officer Pre-Ops

About the Role

Riyadh Air is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Crew Control Officer Pre-Ops to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our pre-flight processes, with a primary focus on managing crew assignments, schedules, and compliance with aviation regulations. Your expertise will contribute directly to the safety, punctuality, and overall success of our flight operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Crew Scheduling and Coordination: Develop, maintain, and optimize crew duty rosters in alignment with operational requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies. Ensure optimal crew utilization while adhering to rest period regulations and duty time limitations.
• Pre-Flight Preparation: Verify crew qualifications, certifications, and medical fitness prior to flight assignments. Coordinate with relevant departments to address any discrepancies or requirements before departure.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with international and local aviation regulations, including those set by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and other governing bodies. Maintain accurate records of crew training, certifications, and flight hours for audits and inspections.
• Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between crew members, flight operations, and other departments to resolve scheduling conflicts, address crew requests, and facilitate seamless communication. Provide clear and timely updates to stakeholders regarding crew assignments and operational changes.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, last-minute changes, or operational disruptions. Implement contingency plans to minimize delays and ensure crew availability aligns with flight requirements.
• Reporting and Documentation: Generate and maintain comprehensive reports on crew utilization, compliance status, and operational metrics. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible for review by management and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• A bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternatively, a combination of relevant education and experience in aviation operations will be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in crew scheduling, aviation operations, or a similar role within the airline industry. Prior experience in a pre-operations or crew control environment is highly desirable.
• Strong proficiency in crew management software and aviation-specific tools, such as Crew Resource Management (CRM) systems or scheduling platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, including GACA standards, ICAO guidelines, and other international aviation authorities. Familiarity with crew duty and rest regulations is essential.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crew members, operational teams, and senior management. Fluency in English is required; additional language proficiency is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail, enabling you to identify potential issues and implement proactive solutions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support round-the-clock flight operations.
