Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Slickline & Wireline Wellhead Pressure Control Equipment (WPCE) Technician to join our dynamic team in Al Qatif, Saudi Arabia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced wellhead pressure control equipment to ensure the safe and efficient execution of slickline and wireline operations in oil and gas wells. Your expertise will be instrumental in upholding operational excellence, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and company protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Perform hands-on operations of slickline and wireline wellhead pressure control equipment, including blowout preventers (BOPs), lubricators, and related components. Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
• Pressure Control and Safety Compliance: Monitor and manage wellhead pressure during operations to prevent blowouts and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment. Adhere strictly to industry safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to wellhead pressure control equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Implement corrective actions promptly to minimize operational disruptions and maintain productivity.
• Data Recording and Reporting: Accurately document operational parameters, equipment performance, and maintenance activities. Generate detailed reports for supervisors and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, supervisors, and field personnel, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of well intervention operations. Provide guidance and training to junior technicians to enhance team capabilities and foster a culture of safety and excellence.
• Regulatory and Industry Compliance: Stay updated with the latest advancements in wellhead pressure control technology and industry best practices. Ensure all operations comply with local, national, and international regulations, including API, ISO, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education and Experience: A technical diploma or degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in slickline and wireline operations, with a strong background in wellhead pressure control equipment.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of wellhead pressure control systems, including BOPs, lubricators, and hydraulic/pneumatic controls. Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software for equipment monitoring and diagnostics.
• Safety and Compliance: A commitment to safety and a proven track record of adhering to strict safety protocols. Certification in well control (e.g., IWCF or IADC) is highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving and Communication: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in challenging environments, including offshore or remote locations, and perform physically demanding tasks. Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational demands.
