HanmiGlobal Saudi, a leading engineering and construction firm operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Road Engineer to join our dynamic team. This critical role is part of the Local Development and Infrastructure Program (LDIP), a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing the Kingdom’s transportation networks, improving urban connectivity, and supporting sustainable infrastructure development. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, overseeing, and delivering high-quality road infrastructure projects that align with Saudi Vision 2030 and national development goals.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Road Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing road engineering projects from conception to completion. Your core duties will include:

• Project Leadership: Provide technical leadership and direction for road infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive road design plans, including geometric layouts, drainage systems, pavement structures, and traffic management solutions, in compliance with local and international standards.
• Technical Oversight: Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with government authorities, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless project execution and resolve technical challenges.
• Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality control processes to monitor construction activities, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety protocols.
• Innovation and Sustainability: Integrate sustainable design principles and innovative technologies to enhance road performance, reduce environmental impact, and optimize lifecycle costs.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with Saudi Arabian standards, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a specialization in transportation or road engineering. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE) is highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in road engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role. Prior involvement in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly within the Middle East, is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of road design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MX, or similar), traffic analysis tools, and pavement design methodologies. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
• Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is required.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage complex projects and teams effectively.
