Senior Python Engineer - AI Coding Agent Evaluation (Freelance)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Engineer to join our dynamic team on a freelance basis. This role is focused on evaluating and enhancing AI coding agents, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, accuracy, and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Python development, machine learning, and AI systems, with a strong commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Agent Evaluation: Design and implement comprehensive evaluation frameworks to assess the capabilities of AI coding agents, including code generation, debugging, and optimization tasks.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve the performance of AI models and agents, leveraging advanced Python programming techniques and algorithmic optimizations.
• Code Quality Assurance: Develop and enforce coding standards, best practices, and automated testing protocols to ensure the reliability and maintainability of AI-driven solutions.
• Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, AI researchers, and software engineers, to integrate AI agents into existing workflows and systems.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed technical documentation, performance reports, and progress updates to facilitate transparency and alignment with project goals.
• Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and Python development, and propose innovative solutions to enhance the functionality of AI coding agents.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Python development, with a strong focus on AI, machine learning, or related technologies.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python and associated frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Experience with AI model evaluation, benchmarking, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with code analysis tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work independently in a remote or freelance capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI coding agents, autonomous systems, or agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs).
• Prior contributions to open-source projects or publications in AI-related fields.
