This pivotal role is based in Saudi Arabia and will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with international quality, safety, health, and environmental (QSHE) standards across our sales operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving QSHE policies, fostering a culture of safety, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the sales function.

Key Responsibilities

The Regional QSHE Coordinator (Sales) will serve as a strategic partner to the sales leadership team, ensuring that all sales activities align with Almarai’s commitment to excellence in QSHE management. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including:

  • QSHE Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain robust QSHE policies, procedures, and standards tailored to sales operations, ensuring full compliance with local and international regulations such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for sales-related activities, identifying potential hazards and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks. This includes ensuring the safe handling, storage, and transportation of products throughout the sales chain.
  • Training and Awareness: Design and deliver targeted QSHE training programs for sales teams, distributors, and partners to enhance their understanding of safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and environmental sustainability practices. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Performance Monitoring and Audits: Lead regular QSHE audits and inspections across sales channels to verify compliance with established standards. Analyze audit findings, report on performance metrics, and recommend corrective actions to address gaps or non-conformities.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate QSHE-related incidents, near-misses, and customer complaints to identify root causes and implement preventive measures. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into sales operations, such as reducing carbon footprint, minimizing waste, and promoting eco-friendly practices among partners and customers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the sales team, corporate QSHE department, and external regulatory bodies to ensure seamless communication and alignment with organizational goals. Represent Almarai in industry forums and events focused on QSHE best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a blend of technical expertise and leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related field. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or equivalent are highly desirable.
