Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing civil engineering activities from project inception to completion. Your core duties will include:

• Project Planning & Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and delays.
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on civil engineering best practices, including structural design, geotechnical analysis, and construction methodologies. Ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and L&T’s stringent quality protocols.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication, resolve conflicts, and ensure project objectives are met. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster trust and transparency.
• Quality Assurance & Control: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Implement robust quality control measures to deliver projects that exceed client expectations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, technical drawings, and compliance certificates. Ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible for audits and reviews.
• Innovation & Sustainability: Drive continuous improvement by integrating cutting-edge technologies, sustainable construction practices, and cost-effective solutions into project workflows. Champion L&T’s commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility.

Qualifications & Competencies

To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) will be considered a strong advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with at least 3 years in a project engineering or site supervision role. Prior experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the Middle East, is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, Primavera P6) and a strong understanding of structural analysis, construction materials, and project management principles.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving project demands. Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Certifications: Valid professional certifications such as Engineer’s License (PE), OSHA, or ISO auditing are preferred but not mandatory.
