Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Manager will play a central role in the financial management of the organization, with responsibilities spanning both operational and strategic domains. Your core duties will include:

• Accounting Operations Leadership: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, tax obligations, and internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives to support long-term planning and resource allocation. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
• Cash Flow and Financial Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement strategies to monitor and improve cash flow, liquidity, and overall financial health. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
• Team Leadership and Development: Supervise, mentor, and guide the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Assign tasks, review performance, and support professional development to ensure the team meets organizational goals.
• Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation, processes, and controls are audit-ready. Address audit findings promptly and implement corrective actions to enhance compliance and operational integrity.
• Process Improvement and Internal Controls: Evaluate existing accounting processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and cost savings. Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the reliability of financial data.

Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Master’s degree or advanced certification is a plus.
• Certifications:
  • Mandatory: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Preferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification or equivalent credentials.
• Professional Experience:
  • Assistant Manager Level: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Manager Level: Minimum of 5–8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strategic mindset. Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and manage a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
