About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Security Specialist – Infrastructure Management (L3 Cybersecurity Engineer) to oversee, enhance, and secure our enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing security platforms while ensuring robust protection, compliance, and operational resilience across the organization. This position requires deep technical expertise in security infrastructure management, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration to safeguard critical assets and maintain high availability of security systems.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following core functions:
- Security Infrastructure Administration: Manage, monitor, and support enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure, including security platforms such as SIEM/XDR, IAM, network security, endpoint security, and vulnerability management systems.
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Resolution: Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and resolve complex security infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of security solutions, including deployment, configuration, upgrades, patching, hardening, and decommissioning, in alignment with industry best practices.
- High Availability & Performance: Ensure the continuous availability, performance, and resilience of security infrastructure through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and system optimization.
- Security Hardening & Compliance: Implement and enforce security baselines, system hardening, and configuration management standards to mitigate risks and comply with regulatory requirements and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Incident & Problem Management: Lead security incident response, change management, and problem resolution in accordance with ITIL processes, while maintaining detailed documentation and post-incident reviews.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Security Operations Center (SOC), IT Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to address security-related operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- System Health & Capacity Monitoring: Proactively monitor system health, performance metrics, and availability, implementing corrective actions to prevent potential disruptions.
- Documentation & Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance.
- Security Assessments & Audits: Participate in security assessments, audits, and technology evaluations to identify gaps, recommend enhancements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Cybersecurity Infrastructure Expertise: Minimum of 7–12 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity infrastructure, security engineering, or security operations, with a proven track record in managing enterprise security platforms.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains:
- Network Security (Firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS, Web Security)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM/PAM)
- SIEM/XDR Platforms
- Endpoint Security (EDR/XDR)
- Vulnerability Management
- Cloud Security
- System Administration & Hardening: Experience in system administration, security platform lifecycle management, and infrastructure hardening, including Windows, Linux, virtualization, and enterprise networking.
- Security Frameworks & Compliance: In-depth understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and ITIL, with a commitment to maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Incident & Change Management: Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management, ensuring structured and efficient resolution of security-related issues.
Preferred Certifications
While not mandatory, the following certifications will be considered a strong advantage:
- CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
- CISM – Certified Information Security Manager
- CHFI – Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator
- CompTIA Security+
- Vendor-specific certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Splunk, or other relevant security platforms.
