Key Responsibilities

The Port Engineer will play a pivotal role in maintaining the structural and operational integrity of our port infrastructure. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Facility Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of maintenance activities for port infrastructure, including docks, piers, cranes, and other critical equipment. Ensure timely repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all port operations adhere to national and international safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Project Management: Lead and coordinate engineering projects related to port expansion, upgrades, or modernization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Technical Oversight: Provide expert technical guidance to maintenance teams, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and quality standards. Review and approve engineering drawings, reports, and documentation.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets, allocating resources efficiently to optimize operational performance. Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between Rawabi Holding Co. and external partners, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and third-party service providers. Foster strong relationships to facilitate smooth operations and project execution.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications and possess relevant experience:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are advantageous.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in port engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia, is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP PM) and strong knowledge of port infrastructure, equipment, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with maritime and coastal engineering principles is essential.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Demonstrated leadership in driving operational efficiency and fostering team collaboration.
• Certifications & Compliance: Valid certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) and familiarity with ISO standards, maritime regulations, and environmental laws.
