Senior Manager, Account Executive – Merchant Retail Center of Excellence (CoE)

Visa Saudi Arabia LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Account Executive to lead the Merchant Retail Center of Excellence (CoE) in Riyadh. This strategic role is pivotal in driving the growth and optimization of Visa’s merchant retail solutions across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the retail ecosystem, payment technologies, and merchant acquisition strategies, while demonstrating exceptional leadership and business development capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Account Executive will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end merchant retail portfolio, ensuring alignment with Visa’s strategic objectives and market demands. Core responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive merchant retail strategy that enhances Visa’s market position, drives revenue growth, and fosters long-term partnerships with key retail stakeholders.
• Merchant Acquisition & Retention: Lead high-impact merchant acquisition initiatives, focusing on both onboarding new retail partners and retaining existing ones through tailored solutions, competitive offerings, and value-added services.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior executives across retail organizations, financial institutions, and industry partners to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with Visa’s goals.
• Innovation & Digital Transformation: Champion the adoption of cutting-edge payment technologies, including contactless, digital wallets, and omnichannel solutions, to enhance the merchant and consumer experience while driving operational efficiency.
• Performance Management: Monitor and analyze market trends, merchant performance metrics, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for growth, risk mitigation, and strategic adjustments.
• Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of account executives and specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence to achieve collective and individual targets.
• Regulatory & Compliance Adherence: Ensure all merchant retail operations comply with local and international regulations, Visa’s policies, and industry standards to mitigate risks and uphold the company’s reputation.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in merchant services, payment solutions, or retail banking, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Industry Knowledge: Proven expertise in the retail and payments industry, including a deep understanding of merchant acquisition, payment technologies, and digital transformation trends.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver measurable results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Business Acumen: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from retail executives to internal teams.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
