The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in casting, forging, machining, heat treatment, welding repair, and final product inspection, with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement and risk-based decision-making across all operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for a diverse range of duties designed to uphold the highest standards of quality and operational excellence. These responsibilities include:

  • Quality Management System Control:
    • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the QMS in strict accordance with ISO 9001, API Q1, API 20A, and API 20B requirements.
    • Develop, review, and update quality procedures, work instructions, forms, and records to ensure alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
    • Enforce robust document control practices, ensuring all revisions are accurately tracked and communicated across departments.
    • Support internal audits and management review meetings to evaluate system effectiveness and drive corrective actions.
    • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and risk-based thinking throughout the organization.
  • Production Process Quality Assurance:
    • Monitor and verify compliance with approved procedures during casting, forging, machining, heat treatment, and inspection activities.
    • Conduct process audits to identify gaps, deviations, or potential risks in manufacturing operations.
    • Ensure full traceability of raw materials, heat numbers, batches, and finished products throughout the production lifecycle.
    • Collaborate on initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and process variations to enhance overall efficiency.
    • Validate the implementation of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) at every critical stage of production.
  • Standards & Technical Compliance:
    • Ensure all manufacturing activities adhere to ASME, ASTM, API, ISO, and customer-specific specifications.
    • Review purchase orders, engineering drawings, datasheets, and technical requirements to confirm compliance prior to production.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of applicable international codes and standards for reference and audit purposes.
    • Facilitate technical clarifications and coordinate with Engineering, QC, and Production teams to resolve compliance-related queries.
    • Support qualification approvals, product compliance documentation, and certification processes.
  • Supplier Quality & Non-Conformance Control:
    • Participate in supplier qualification audits and conduct periodic evaluations to assess quality, certification, and delivery performance.
    • Monitor supplier compliance and address any deviations through structured non-conformance reporting (NCR).
    • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate recurring issues.
    • Ensure proper segregation, identification, and disposition of non-conforming products to prevent unintended use.
  • Reporting, Calibration & Cross-Functional Support:
    • Coordinate and oversee the calibration of measuring and testing equipment in accordance with established schedules.
    • Maintain accurate quality records, performance metrics (KPIs), and management summaries for strategic decision-making.
    • Facilitate customer audits, third-party assessments, and certification evaluations to demonstrate compliance.
    • Collaborate closely with QC, Production, NDE, Lab, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to address quality-related challenges.
    • Conduct quality awareness training sessions and promote a company-wide culture of quality excellence.
