Quality Control Engineer - Casting & Forging Division

Tuwaiq Casting & Forging invites a meticulous and seasoned Quality Control Engineer to join our Quality Control Division. Reporting to the QC Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring our casting and forging products adhere to internal quality standards and customer specifications through effective quality control processes.

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of castings and forgings, adhering to quality procedures and engineering drawings.
• Drive the QC process across the casting shop, aligning with organisational procedures and expectations.
• Control non-conforming products, managing internal NCRs in accordance with our NCR procedure.
• Prepare casting Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and product inspection plans for both internal and external requirements.
• Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products, recording and analysing inspection results.
• Coordinate with the team on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions to improve production processes.
• Maintain and enhance quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and API Q1.
• Manage customer and third-party audits in coordination with the QA function.
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of all inspection equipment, ensuring measurement accuracy.

We seek a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the casting or forging industry. Proficiency in using inspection tools, familiarity with quality inspection methods, understanding of metallurgical properties, and exposure to relevant industry standards are essential. NDE certification to ASNT or ISO 9712 Level II and QMS Internal Auditor certification are also required. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, high attention to detail, and effective communication skills are crucial for this role.
