Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Stock Controller Team Leader to oversee and enhance our stock control operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, efficiency, and optimization across the organization. In this pivotal role, you will lead a high-performing team of stock controllers, implement robust inventory management processes, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to maintain seamless warehouse and distribution center operations. Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of stock controllers to achieve operational excellence. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and adherence to best practices in stock management.
• Process Optimization: Develop, implement, and refine stock control processes to enhance inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Ensure alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
• Inventory Audits and Accuracy: Conduct regular and systematic audits of stock levels to identify discrepancies between physical and recorded inventory. Investigate variances, implement corrective actions, and maintain rigorous documentation to uphold data integrity.
• Technology and Reporting: Utilize advanced inventory management systems to monitor stock levels, generate real-time reports, and analyze trends. Leverage data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with purchasing, logistics, sales, and other departments to ensure optimal stock availability, align with demand forecasts, and support sales initiatives. Facilitate seamless communication to address stock-related challenges proactively.
• Stock Movement Management: Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of stock, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Implement efficient workflows to minimize delays and maximize productivity.
• Strategic Stock Optimization: Analyze inventory trends, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend strategies to optimize stock levels. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous enhancement.
• Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely stock replenishment, negotiate favorable terms, and address supply chain disruptions. Maintain a collaborative and professional approach to foster long-term partnerships.
• Policy and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols related to stock management. Promote a culture of compliance and accountability within the team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in stock control or inventory management, with at least one year in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of stock control principles, inventory management software, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Experience with data analysis tools and reporting platforms is highly desirable.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and implement effective solutions.
• Communication and Leadership: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Proven leadership capabilities to motivate and guide a team toward achieving operational targets.
