Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Manager to join the pre-opening team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily maintenance and operational efficiency of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. Your leadership will ensure that the resort’s infrastructure operates at the highest standards of safety, comfort, and luxury, aligning with Four Seasons’ commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and supervise the daily activities of the engineering and maintenance team, ensuring all tasks are completed promptly, professionally, and in accordance with Four Seasons’ standards.
• System Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of all property areas to verify that systems are operating efficiently and safely, identifying opportunities for improvement and proactive maintenance.
• Preventive Maintenance: Oversee comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, pools, and critical systems, including HVAC, MEP, and life safety systems.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict adherence to local health, safety, fire life safety, and building codes, maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity.
• Guest Experience: Respond swiftly to guest requests, maintenance issues, and emergency situations, minimizing downtime and service disruptions to uphold the resort’s reputation for exceptional hospitality.
• Budget and Energy Management: Manage department budgets, monitor energy consumption, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
• Team Development: Train, motivate, and develop the engineering team to uphold Four Seasons’ rigorous standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
• Pre-Opening Support: Lead the pre-opening setup, including equipment installation, system testing, and operational readiness, ensuring a seamless launch and exceptional guest arrival experience.

Your Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end facilities.
• In-depth knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and life safety systems.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, with experience in implementing cost-saving initiatives.
• Willingness to relocate to AMAALA, Saudi Arabia, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced pre-opening environment.
