As a key member of the Corporate Accounting team, the Analyst – Corporate Accounting plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations within these high-impact ventures. This position is instrumental in maintaining robust financial records, preparing precise financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes.

Core Responsibilities

The Analyst – Corporate Accounting is responsible for executing critical month-end close activities in strict adherence to company policies and international accounting standards, including IFRS. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of financial duties, including but not limited to:

This includes handling complex accruals, benefit adjustments, and treasury-related entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Payroll and Expense Processing: Managing the classification, reclassification, calculation, and reconciliation of payroll, benefits, and administrative expenses. This involves processing monthly EOS provisions, HOP transactions, bonuses, saving and fitness plans, medical charges, GOSI contributions, and full payroll processing for distribution partners and seconded staff (CPC).
  • Tax and Compliance Management: Calculating, reconciling, and processing VAT and IFRS 16 obligations by reviewing contracts, calculating interest, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This includes preparing and submitting accurate tax filings to avoid penalties and maintain operational continuity.
  • Transaction Processing: Handling dividend payments, purchase order (PO) and non-PO transactions from distribution partners, amortization schedules, and commission calculations. Ensuring these transactions are processed efficiently and in accordance with established financial policies.
  • Financial Reporting and Reconciliation: Preparing monthly account analyses, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data. This includes documenting justifications for discrepancies and ensuring all accounts are reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Budget Support and Audit Preparation: Assisting in the annual budgeting process for General & Administrative (G&A) and Shared Services (SD) cost centers. Preparing for and supporting annual SOX audits by maintaining up-to-date reporting systems and internal audit documentation.

This includes adhering to established environmental, health, safety, and quality (EHSQ) policies to ensure a safe, compliant, and high-quality working environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Serving as a liaison between the Corporate Accounting team and other departments, including distribution partners and seconded staff. Effectively communicating financial data, responding to inquiries from stakeholders, and presenting reports to management teams as required.
