Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager - SRM will be responsible for executing the strategic and operational agenda of the Supplier Relationship Management function. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Supplier Engagement: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reputable suppliers and partners to support key bids and tenders, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and service-level expectations.
• Supplier Relationship Development: Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact to facilitate seamless communication, resolve issues promptly, and ensure sustained performance.
• Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through comprehensive KPIs—including quality, delivery timelines, cost efficiency, and compliance—while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance value delivery.
• Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all supplier records, contracts, and documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with procurement policies, ethical standards, and sustainability goals.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders across departments to align supplier capabilities with project requirements, mitigate risks, and support seamless execution of initiatives.
• Market Intelligence and Risk Assessment: Conduct regular market research to identify new vendors, assess supply chain risks, and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational interests.
• Performance Reporting and Audits: Develop and deliver detailed supplier performance reports, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Participate in audits and reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and service standards.
• Team Leadership and Development: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the SRM team.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Professional Experience: Minimum of six years of progressive experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations, with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are highly valued.
• Regulatory and Cultural Acumen: In-depth understanding of KSA regulatory requirements and the local business landscape, with prior work experience in the region strongly preferred.
• Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret performance data, identify risks, and develop actionable insights. Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Arabic considered a significant advantage.
• Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, foster a high-performance culture, and collaborate effectively across diverse functions to achieve organizational goals.
