Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tendering Specialist to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time, on-site role is pivotal in driving the company’s tendering initiatives, ensuring that our bids for medical equipment and consumables are competitive, compliant, and strategically aligned with market opportunities. The Tendering Specialist will oversee the complete tender lifecycle, from opportunity identification to contract finalization, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients to deliver exceptional results. This role demands a blend of analytical acumen, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to navigate the complexities of tender management in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Opportunity Management: Identify, evaluate, and pursue relevant tender opportunities in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and market trends.
- Document Review and Compliance: Thoroughly analyze tender documents, specifications, and requirements to ensure all submissions meet regulatory and client standards.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams—including procurement, sales, legal, and technical departments—to gather necessary inputs for comprehensive and accurate tender submissions.
- Proposal Development: Prepare compelling and compliant tender proposals, incorporating technical, financial, and legal considerations to maximize competitiveness.
- Supplier and Partner Engagement: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to secure favorable pricing, terms, and conditions that enhance bid viability.
- Timeline and Risk Management: Monitor tender deadlines, track progress, and proactively mitigate risks to ensure timely and successful bid submissions.
- Post-Award Support: Assist in contract finalization, negotiation, and post-award activities to ensure seamless transition from bid submission to project execution.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous enhancement of tendering processes, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Tender Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing the full lifecycle of tenders, including compliance with procurement regulations and industry standards.
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong ability to interpret tender specifications, evaluate pricing structures, and assess risks to formulate data-backed recommendations.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
- Proposal Development: Demonstrated expertise in crafting detailed, accurate, and compelling tender proposals and documentation.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and sourcing strategies within the healthcare or medical devices sector.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Organizational Agility: Exceptional time-management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple tenders and deadlines with precision and efficiency.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with tendering or procurement software systems. Knowledge of local Saudi and GCC tender regulations is a valuable asset.
