Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

In this critical position, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily care, welfare, and productivity of poultry flocks to maintain consistent production performance. Your role will involve:

• Flock Management: Implement and monitor best practices in poultry farming, including biosecurity standards, feeding programs, and environmental controls, to achieve optimal egg or meat output.
• Health and Welfare: Ensure the highest standards of animal welfare by closely monitoring flock health, feed quality, and environmental conditions, while adhering to safety protocols.
• Operational Support: Assist in routine farm operations such as vaccination, record-keeping, cleaning, and equipment maintenance to support smooth and efficient farm functioning.
• Breeding Farm Expertise: Apply specialized knowledge in poultry breeding farms, including brooding and feeding techniques, to enhance productivity and meet production targets.
• Data and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of flock performance, health metrics, and environmental parameters to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Poultry Production, Animal Science, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in poultry farms or a similar role, with a strong understanding of poultry farming practices, particularly in breeding farms.
• Proficiency in English communication to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• A deep commitment to animal welfare, safety standards, and the overarching goals of the farm.
• Exceptional attention to detail in monitoring flock health, feed quality, and environmental conditions to ensure optimal performance.
